I'd appreciate it of somebody could check the formulas in the preliminaries section (both the math and possible in game; I can supply ingredients on test server), give some surprising results.

Ok, figured out what the Problem is: probability...

I am not so happy with the beginners section, it's kind of frustrating to be telling people that they basically have to level with Mana/Minor Healing until they can do SRs but other potions aren't really good alternatives either as they require too much time spent on killing stuff. As far as I see it, training a/d and making Mana/Minor Healing potions at the same time and gathering ingredients for "later" potions is the way to go here.
The example in the preliminaries simply doesn't work that way and would go too far to discuss in detail there. I'll add a link.

The only other potentially levelable pots before SR are physique and will. I recall doing a bunch of these, got lucky and found a physique pot buyer, but the will pots are a waste. In the end I was doing what you wrote, minor/mana pots while a/d training. If they have the spare gc to toss away, physique and will pots may get them to SR-level faster, but only if they have that gc to toss. (Worst-case sell to NPC at a loss, but better than losing everything.)

I will change this to compensate the fact that TS Potions are no longer a leveling potion once we can be sure that the recipe won't change again when we look away for 5 minutes; I also have to add some remarks about the other recent changes but since they were mostly useless/senseless/etc I think nobody will be hurt by waiting a little longer for that. And if they are, then they can add that information themselves :-)

One can always hope, but I get the feeling TS will never be the same again, and the sections about them will probably end up removed, and SR/BR will be the highest level-worthy item. SRs, the leather helms of potioning? Hehe... --[[User:Burn|Burn]] 09:02, 1 May 2009 (GMT+1)

While I've always felt this guide to be a part of the wiki and thus editable by any user who found reasons to do so, I'm now officially letting you know that I will not be working on this guide anymore. If you feel like changing the strong emphasis on SRs, let me just say this: 2 million.

If somebody can take a look and do a little proof/cross reading, it would be appreciated.--Ermabwed 14:48, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

But I pretty much agree with the minor/mana route, making others only if they have a use for it or can afford to toss away ings as a "skill investment". --Burn 09:02, 1 May 2009 (GMT+1)

TS etc.

And if they are, then they can add that information themselves :-) --Ermabwed 23:53, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
