Skills and leveling

Skill schools are areas in Eternal Lands where a player receives an advantage when performing a certain skill. For the skills that involve mixing, a player can gain twice the expereince in exchange for not keeping the final product. For magic, there are special PK arenas where only offensive magic spells can be used. For summoning and ranging, there are arenas where the mana cost is halved or a stationary creature may be targeted, respectively. There are no schools for attack, defense, or harvesting. In addition, there are some areas labeled on maps as schools but are not yet functional.

Description

Most skill schools work in a simple way: you mix any item of the appropriate skill, and instead of getting the item, you get twice the experience. Failed and critically failed attempts work as usual. Mixing items of other skills than the school's specialty is not affected.

Note: The item you mix must have a recommended level greater than 0 for the school to have an effect.

A * indicates the schools closest to storage. Some schools may not be functional, and some untested ones may be miscategorized. Please add notes and edit as appropriate.

Attack and defense

Being the skills with the fastest leveling possible at the moment, with the option to train with other players in PK areas, and with a special day that doubles the experience, these skills will most likely not get a school.

Harvesting

There most likely won't be a school for this skill.

Alchemy

• Desert Tropics, Desert Pines, at [28,119]

• Palon Vertas in the northwest at [43,365] - The alchemy classroom and laboratory are somewhere inside the school. (Does this school work?)

Magic

There are some special PK Magic Arenas where offensive spells work but other means of combat do not. Magic arenas do not give twice the experience; they are for training with other players. Mana Draining does not give experience in these areas. The only way to receive twice the experience for magic is during a special day. Known arena locations are:

• Tarsengaard Magic School north of town at [183,315] - The PK arena is somewhere inside the school.
• Naralik in the northeast at [154,176]
• Ruins of Tirnym in the west at [33,91] - You must pass through the barriers to enter the arena. Either solve the riddles or use Teleport to Range.
• Palon Vertas in the northwest at [43,365] - The PK arena is somewhere inside the school. (Does this school work?)
• Willowvine Forest Skill Academy in the southwest tree house area above the ground
• Arius Magic School in Arius City - The PK arena is somewhere inside the school.
• Egrat Forest, Egratia Point, at [???,???] (Does this school work?)

Potion

• Portland, northeast of town at [265,269] and [281,270]
• Fort Hallgan, Morcraven Marsh, at [187,162]

Summoning

This skill has Summoning arenas, where the mana cost of summoning is halved.

Ranging

Ranging has Archery Arenas for which you need an Archery Arena Ticket to enter. The arenas have a Target that doesn't die, thus allowing for uninterrupted shooting at the target. There's no experience bonus in these arenas.

Skill academies

Skill academies contain schools for more than one skill and a storage.

• Glacmor skill academy north of Dra Se'Lac at [335,132] for alchemy, crafting, and potions
• Willowvine Forest Skill Academy in the southwest tree house area above the ground for manufacturing, a magic arena, and a summoning arena

Fast reading areas

There are some areas in the game where you will read books 5 times as fast as you normally would. You must keep your food level above 0 to research just as you would anywhere else, though. Currently, there are fast reading areas in:
