In the long run, it is still ''unknown'' whether your Overall will continue to accumulate experience after your individual skills eventually reach their maximum level of 178. If true, it could at worst result in a character with maximum skill levels but absolutely no pickpoints.

What does #reset do?

Typing #reset twice in the game does the following:

  • Your Overall level and Overall experience is set to 0.
  • Your amount of pickpoints is set to 0.
  • All your basic attributes are set to 4.
  • All your nexus are set to 0.
  • All your perks are removed except for the Skeptic Perk and perks received from quests.

You do not lose:

  • Sigils
  • Levels or experience in skills (attack, defense, harvesting, alchemy, etc.)
  • Knowledge (books read)
  • Items in storage or inventory
  • Gods

To regain pickpoints, you must earn them all again by increasing your Overall level from 0. This is the same way a new character would earn pickpoints.

Common reasons to do a #reset are:

  • to remove perks
  • to try a different build (attributes wise)
  • just enjoy the fast leveling ;p

Note: Quests can not be redone unless the quest was revised.

In the long run, it is still unknown whether your Overall will continue to accumulate experience after your individual skills eventually reach their maximum level of 178. If your Overall stops accumulating experience before reaching 178 itself, this could potentially be a huge penalty for doing a #reset. If true, it could at worst result in a character with maximum skill levels but absolutely no pickpoints.
