Phoenix
Shape shifting
Phoenixes are the fighter-animals of Eternal Lands.
How to become and to stay a phoenix and how to become normal again
- To become a phoenix you have to use a Phoenix Glyph.
- To stay a Phoenix you have to "eat" 2 Creature food every 30 seconds (double as Mule).
- For this you have to keep the creature food in your inventory, it will be consumed automatically.
- If you have no creature food in your inventory when it's due, you will turn back into your normal shape, requiring another phoenix glyph to turn back into a phoenix again.
- To become normal again, simply remove all remaining creature food from your inventory and wait or click yourself with the pointy "use" finger.
Benefits of a phoenix and leveling
Your attack ability is increased. You can view your level by "looking at" yourself with the eye mouse pointer.
It requires 800 creature food for first level. This is increased by 100 more creature food per level. For example, the second level requires 900 creature food. (What is the maximum level?)
The amount of food required to advance a single level (from the beginning of your current level to your next level) is given by the following formula:
food(next_level) = 100(next_level + 7), where 1 <= next_level <= (Put the maximum level here)
The cumulative amount food required to achieve a level, starting from the beginning of level 0, is given by the following formula:
cumulative_food(level) = 50*level(level+15), where 1 <= level <= (Put the maximum level here)
Benefits of being a phoenix:
(1 * phoenix_level)
fire protection. (against what? heat or arrows?)(1 * phoenix_level)%
chance to dodge hits, added to the 5% default chance and the Evanescence chance (if you have that perk).(1 * phoenix_level)
extra attack(5 * phoenix_level)
chance to be ressurected in addition to the Day of the Dead effect. (What does this mean? Do phoenixes always have the Day of the Dead effect, even on ordinary days?)- If the player cast magic immunity before shape shifting, the spell will not wear off while in the phoenix form.
- Based on the level, there is a chance to not get a cooldown when using an item.
What a phoenix can and can't do
- Can interact with objects:
- Can fight (can be attacked on PK maps by other players!)
- Can't use Magic.
- Can't harvest.
- Cannot wear clothes, armour or equip items in general, in fact you can't change into a phoenix if you currently have items equipped.
- Can't trade with other players using the trade window.
- Cannot sit down (if you were sitting when changing into a phoenix, you might have to disable sit-lock in the options window before you can fly)
