Talk:Armed Goblin

Just two things.

  • I personally like the creature image on the right of the page (it fills up the page that way).
  • I think that the summoning information should be on a different page or at least in the bottom of the page (if you go to the creature page from the Creatures Index or any other link the summoning info it's not what you are looking for so it shouldn't be in the beginning).

(Zarkuu)

  • I think the contents somewhere on the left between pic and stats looks really bad, which is why I would prefer it on the right.
  • The pic then gets in the way, the current setup is one i found to be consistent with other pages (items and such); text|ToC|pic looks much too cluttered at least on the computers I am using and the same goes for text|"pic over ToC" or the the other way around.
  • Would a setup as it is now but with contents and pic exchanged work better for you? I.e. pic|ToC, then text below. I'd be fine with that.
  • I agree on the summoning information, I just edited that where it was, best have it go below the drops.
  • The Navs are too large, at some point we might want to split them up or remove them all together (this is especially true of Books/Nav, I remarked on that on the discussion page of that template earlier).

  • Ok, how do you like it now? I think it looks nice now, the level 2 headings with the horizontal rule structure the information nicely. --Ermabwed 11:21, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
  • One of the problems I had with the picture move was that when you enter a page you only see the header, the pic and the Toc (in my case - a laptop with 1280x800) (see Feros), another problem was two white lines one on top the other on the bottom of the picture all across the page. The changes you have done work OK for me. One suggestion I have is to make the picture the same size of the Toc so that the line from the Stats goes from one side to the other.

  • We can make new pictures of the creatures, I see no reason for the pictures to have the name and the health of the creature, this way the creature image wont get too small.

  • I have the same resolution on my laptop at home. One immediate problem with pic-size = toc-size would be the changing toc size; the white lines are a problem of the default theme's CSS I'd say.
  • To have the Stats start below the toc/pic area we could try messing around a bit more (with css or other options) but since the stats usually aren't so wide I don't see that as a big problem, more of a feature really.
  • I definitely support new creature pics (new names for the pics too, please ;)), especially since we're getting some updated looks with the next client update (which might be a reason to wait); another possibility would be to get Roja's approval of using the official game art from forums for the wiki.

  • I removed the level 2 heading from the Statistics section, I didn´t like to see that line ending in the picture.
  • I'll place in all creatures headings with Irilion and Seridia even if they only exist in a continent, one with Summoning and a note " This creature cannot be Summoned" this way there wont be big differences between the TOCs.
  • I think we should create a new wiki section here where we would place all the talks, making the easier to be found. Something like "/Discussions" and then "/Discussions/Creatures Page Structure" or "/Discussions/Items names on the wiki" <- this one is kind of lost in the Cape of Passive Camouflage talk page.

  • Well, I personally prefer the hr under the heading, does exactly what it's supposed to do: separate toc/pic from contents.
  • Took me a while to figure out what you meant there... if redundancy makes you happy, go for it... However, floats are actually nicer to look at and "cooler" than a pseudo-forced table layout which is deprecated since HTML 4.01... imo. Plus, a Wood Sprite is simply a lot smaller than a Dragon, so having them have the same sized picture is just not a good solution.
  • Use the forums for that or create a separate namespace, we're trying to get rid of this pseudo-subdirectory bullshit here, aren't we?

  • Moved to the forums.
